Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Amjad A — 24 Apr 2013

Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro team up in this masterpiece that will go down as one off the greatest films in the history of cinema. De Niro delivers the greatest performance off his career as Jack La Motta and garnered the Oscar for Best Actor, which he definitely deserved.

If you haven't seen Raging Bull yet, I highly advice that you do! It combines gritty, realistic and violent fight scenes with smart storytelling and amazing delivery of dialogue from all the actors. A great cast which all delivered great and very believable, realistic acting. This film is always being talked about by critics as being the greatest film of the 80's. It is a classic that will go down and seems to still have an impact on the viewers almost 30 years later.

I highly advice this film for any DVD collection!! Scorsese is a brillant director, De Niro is a brilliant actor and this film is Scorsese and De Niro at their best!
