A masterpiece in sports cinema, this dark and gritty sports drama follows Jake LaMotta a heroic but hot tempered boxer who reached gold in his career but is failing miserably in his personal life. Showing him as an obsessive and abusive husband and even accusing his brother of infidelity towards her, this epic drama has a riveting performance by Robert De Niro who won the Oscar for his performance.
Martin Scorsese is a film genius. 5 out of 5 stars.
