Raging Bull, directed by Martin Scorcese, is a film achievement matched by no other film, except for GoodFellas (which, ironically, is too directed by Scorcese). Many will view this movie and see it as just "another boxing movie".

But this is so much more than that. From beginning to end, you watch as Jake Lamotta struggles to keep his personal affairs and in-ring performances kept apart. This film does not hold back. It too, like GoodFellas, tells the story of a struggling man trying to keep everything together.

For a long time, this was my favorite film, until GoodFellas came along and stole the spot, but that does not diminish any credit towards the film. It is still a jewel to film making and will forever be a classic.
