Possibly the apex of DeNiro's and Scorsese's career, DeNiro gives one of the best performances ever put to screen, and Scorsese's understated, yet powerful direction perfectly complement his performance.
One of the best "man starts off at a high place but falls due to his own tragic flaw" type of movies ever made.
