Review of Radio Days (1987) by Jamaica K — 18 Oct 2007
Easily one of my favorite Woody Allen pictures. The memories of a Jewish family, in depression-era Brooklyn, are recalled through associations to certain songs, personalities, and shows that were popular on the radio.
It's almost like an anthology of New York tales, that occasionally intersect with one another, with the family being our point of reference.
Seth Green, in an early role, plays a kind of on-screen alter-ego to Woody Allen. The whole cast is exactly who they should be, and they are exasperating, touching, and very funny!
