Review of Radio Days (1987) by Giffy G — 13 Mar 2009
Finally! A Woody Allen movie without Woody Allen! I say that with love, as he is one of my favorite directors and one of my least favorite actors. The story is compelling and engrossing. The vignettes eventualyl unfold to let you see a panorama, a hard effect to pull off.
The movie is up-front with its nostalgia, but never lets that get in the way of good story-telling. Engaging and delightful characters superbly acted. An all around solid movie.
