Review of Radio Days (1987) by Ken S — 11 Mar 2014
Woody Allen's film about the Golden Age of Radio is filled with funny, poignant, sad, and memorable vignettes about a poor Jewish family, presumably based in part on Allen's own, and mixes it with recollections of radio shows and popular music of the day and urban legends about radio stars of the time.
It's a really fun watch, and its more like listening to a person's memories than it is watching a film. The large cast of characters are wonderfully performed, and the film is pretty entertaining.
