Review of Rachel Getting Married (2008) by Michaelw. — 09 Dec 2008
I concede that the film is a tad self-indulgent in terms of length, dramatic past events, and cloverfield-style shakiness; but, the moments that work are exquisite, heartbreaking, and real. To watch the film is to attend a wedding.
This family becomes your family for 2 hours. Their heartache becomes your heartache. Their joy is yours.
