This movie could have been much better. Anne Hathaway's performance is commendable and the plot, which examines the link between family dysfunction and addiction, is interesting. Unfortunately, many of the wedding-related scenes are way too long, poorly filmed, and seem a bizarre attempt to embrace cultural diversity.
