Review of Rabid (1977) by Rob V — 10 Aug 2007
Interesting as a staging ground for all the obsessions -- disease and the corruption of the body, twisted sexuality, a suspicion of doctors and large corporations -- that would crop up in Cronenberg's later, more mature films (cf.
The Fly, Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch, etc.). But still a low-budget Canadian exploitation film, with all that that implies.
