Review of Rabid (1977) by Carmen C — 17 May 2009
One of Cronenberg's best from the early days. He can make your skin crawl. It's a bit hokey by today's standards but you can see how influential his early films were. So many directors nowadays claim him as an influence.
In light of the swine flu and SARS this movie is pure classic apocalyptic fear of disease we will all do each other in kind of movie. Its haunting and will stay with you for days after you watch it.
