This was very eye-opening, although I wish the movie were just a bit more powerful. Unfortunately, I just didn't feel a lot of emotional attachment to the characters, but other than that, this film exceeds on many levels. This is appropriate for pretty much any age group, and it teaches an important lesson about a dark period in Australian history. By exposing the surreality and horrors of this true story, this film left with me a desire to learn more. It shocks me that the Australian government allowed the kidnapping (and their training as servants and laborers)of "half-caste" Aboriginal children was allowed even up until 1970! What a stain on history!

In short, this film is haunting, and informing, but a stronger attachment to the characters (and better introductions to them) is needed to make this a masterpiece.
