Review of Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002) by Reshmaal C — 03 Apr 2008
Ah, yes. How nice it is to see a movie about yet another group of people who were living quite happily before they got buggered by the colonists "for their own good." A very moving story about will and determination very colorfully shot in the Australian outback with brilliant cast, most of whom were making their silver screen debut.
Everlyn Sampi was spectacular! The highlight of it all to me was when they showed the real Molly Craig all grown up. One of those feel good moment where you can't help admire her spirit. Also, you'll never be able to look the same way at friends who bitch about visiting Brisbane from Melbourne.
