Review of Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002) by Paolo D — 15 Mar 2009
Sad to say, I knew nothing about this aspect of Australian history. This film is a well-done history lesson about the so-called Stolen Generation. For the most part, I was disturbed by what I was seeing, but I was not truly moved until the very end of the film.
The epilogue with the actual women on whom the story is based caught me off guard. It is a heart-wrenching and extremely well-executed finale to a solid Aussie film.
