Review of Rabbit Hole (2010) by Andy W — 01 Jul 2011
Rather let-down by its ambiguous title, this is great character-led drama following a couple dealing with the death of their child. The story picks up some time after the tragedy, with the couple trying to move on with their lives.
Featuring an excellent performance from Aaron Eckhart, and Nicole Kidman's best performance, its an obviously emotion-packed film, bolstered by its authenticity and moments of unexpected but necessary humour.
Adapted from a stage play, it succeeds in over-coming its stage origins, and never milks the scenario for tears. Recommended.
