Review of Rabbit Hole (2010) by Benny B — 05 Feb 2012
This drama tells the story of a coupleâ??s unimaginable suffering in the aftermath of the horrifying accidental death of their young son. You are witness to how fragile a relationship can be under such duress.
Many problems arise for Becca and Howie because they are not grieving the same manner, they are not keeping open lines of communication, and they are not confronting openly their feelings of guilt and blame.
I thought most of the subplots were quite authentic except for the unusual person Becca decides to seek peace with. The performances are terrific in this somber film. I was pleasantly surprised by how well Michell directed such a delicate story and how he was able to draw the best out of this cast.
