An extremely authentic look into the aftermath of family life when a child dies. Of course, nothing can truly capture the pain or the process of dealing with loss like that, but this film left me extremely pensive.

Nicole Kidman gives a great performance as the distraught mother who cannot handle what has transpired, even with the help of her husband and family. The addition of the emotional deluge waiting to drown the person responsible for the death of the child just makes this movie that much more interesting.

While it can get a little long in the tooth, I recommend this movie for a one-time viewing.
