Review of Quiz Show (1994) by Cletus P — 15 Dec 2007
An absolute masterpiece that rewards rewatching. The casting is great, the actors are at their best, and the writers have given great lines to everybody. The drama concerns character, but social issues are nearly always present.
Anxieties about Jewish identity and discrimination are leitmotifs. The opening's use of the Brecht-Weil song, "Mack the Knife", is only the start of the nice touches.
