Review of Quills (2000) by Autumn Y — 19 Dec 2009
Utterly fantastic, from beginning to end. It's enough to make you uncomfortable and intrigued all at the same time. Rush is phenomenal and dominates the screen every time you see him (or hear that laugh of his).
While not historically accurate, it's a gorgeous movie with every line well-scripted and placed. Nothing happens for no reason. A well-rounded cast, great scripting and scenery and costumes. This is a movie that isn't afraid of itself, or of the censors.
