Ah sadism. The Marquis de Sade really wrote some pervy work. This film is probably the most "adorable" way to approach his work possible- there's a reason you don't see Marquis Hollywood adaptations- incest and shit eating doesn't even work in bad porn.
Anywho, it's a grotesque movie about some grotesque people but I enjoyed it for what it is. Kate Winslet was wonderous again and JUAH-keen (I know thats not how it's spelled) really elevated the film.
But Geoffrey Rush was once again- THE MAN!
