To be honest, it's better than my expectation, which I attributed this film as a film-student-video-clip film initially. This film, named as a "mumblecore" movie by NYT, tells us a story about a bunch of "marginalized" people's pieces of live scenes. They live in different corners of Brooklyn doing all kinds of jobs (actually most of them are floating w/o a conventional job) - it presents the special existing style of the "lost generation". Being part of the young people nowdays, I could fully understand the sense of lost and floating in this film - we party because we are alone; we meet and talk to strangers because we don't really care; we cry because we cannot deem.

Completed by digital camera, this film provides a simple and direct point of view into realism - actors are unprofessional;conversations are funny and random just like how we talk in our lives. Although the whole film is kinda energetic and comedic, the fundamental emotion-base is still a little bit depressing and unsetteling. There are some shaky shots in this film really blow my minds away - in the dimed light and post-rock music, Jamie is smoking. We can see her empty eyes blinking in the dark.
