Review of Quick Change (1990) by Richard G — 11 Jul 2009
How much you like this movie is completely dependent on how much you like Bill Murray, which is to say that if you like him, you will like this movie a lot. Geena Davis is a perfect foil for him, to the point where I wonder why they didn't do more work together.
Murray was coming off a pretty bad stretch -- Ghostbusters II and Scrooged -- which might explain why this was less of a hit than it might have been. But this one's fun. It's a caper flick, it's absurdist, it's slapstick, it's romantic, and it's got a wicked Hammond B-3 pushing the soundtrack. You could do a lot worse.
