Review of Quest for Fire (1981) by Tom M — 13 Dec 2006

This is a great movie, truly marvelous. However, as an archeology student working on prehistory at the moment, I can tell you that you can't take this movie as a reference. There are some errors, some innacuracies... and no one can say "this is how it was back then!" cause even the archeologists simply don't know how it was back then. I see some reviews here stating this movie as if it were the exact depiction of how it was 80,000 years ago... you gotta have some pretty big balls to dare state that, or you gotta be simply ignorant and gullible.

Nonetheless, this movie is brilliant, and it IS fictionnal.

Great acting and great scenery, intentionally humorous at parts. I recommend it to all.
