Review of Quest for Camelot (1998) by Elaine M — 27 May 2008
Unheard of and better that way, 'The Magic Sword: Quest For Camelot' holds a place as one of my favourite animated films of all time. Gary Oldman and Cary Elwes star in a family fantasy musical which follows the story of young Kayleigh who sets out on a journey to recover the stolen sword Excalibur and return it to King Arthur in Camelot.
As well as having a fucking awesome soundtrack which has been stuck in my head for about 4 years now, this movie is just as cute and original as family films ought to be. Of course it's laden with plot-holes, what can you expect? Really, quite a masterpiece of its genre.
