Review of Querelle (1982) by Ilona V — 21 Sep 2007
My favourite cinematic experience was seeing Querelle in "Cinema" in the mid 90s. There were three of us at the 7 o'clock show and when the other two realised it wasn't "Last Tango in Paris" and they wouldn't be seeing Marlon Brando naked, they left.
It was only me and the movie after that. The film is a favourite from my Genet era but it's all about the experience.
