I am a fan of Anne Rice, and whenever her books are turned into movies, I always look forward to seeing them in the screen. I have to say that the movie doesn't reveal as much as the book, but it still good.

I thought the special effects suited the film, the make-up and costume of the various vampires in the good. Aaliyah makes for an intriguing and beautiful akasha. Stuart townsend acted very good and wonderful portrayal of the vampire lestat.
