You know it's bad when you can't decide whether or not it's worse than Twilight.

I'll admit, The Queen of the Damned is a hard book to truncate, and no movie of this length (or any length) could have done it justice. It's true that book-based movies are never as good as the book itself, but I still wish they would have done the usual conversion method: Strip the story down, but leave it unharmed in the interest of making a *good* movie. Unfortunately, this was not the case for The Queen of the Damned. What we have here is movie that features a dismembered, disfigured, and poorly executed version of a brilliant novel.
