Review of Queen Margot (1994) by Vicky V — 28 Jun 2007
Brutal but striking French film about the massacre of Protestants in Paris on St. Bartholomew's day. The central character, Marguerite de Navarre (daughter of Catherine de Medici) is played perfectly by Isabelle Adjani.
Very graphic violence and nudity, but this film is one of the best historical films I've seen. Plus, the gorgeous voice of Ofra Haza is featured.
