Review of Quartet (2012) by Sandy B — 18 Feb 2013
What a delightful film, although I'm not sure whether younger folk would like it as much as I. The characters were human and thughtfully portrayed. there was no trauma...no long drawn out death scenes. Just a bunch of aging divas and professional musicians trying to do what they always loved to do, despite the chnages that aging brings.
And kudos to Dustin Hoffman. This is directed very well, with attention to scenery and detail.
I was deeply moved by the characters and the credits at the end. Loved this movie!
