Review of Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011) by Michael V — 09 Nov 2011
I was surprised about how effective this turned out to be. Giving what this movie had going against it. Being a direct-to-video horror movie sequel of a remake of an European film. It has quite a steep up hill climb.
Especially with it falling into a tired out everything's been done sub-genre. But this version, it has some good ideas, you don't have to have seen the first one, there is mention of it of course, but it's not important.
It can stand on it's own. There are the typical characters, good, bad, stupid, etc..., but it has a good flow. The acting was okay, not a high budget film, but you get to feel for them and relate to the dilemma.
The story expands on the first one well but sadly loses all the flair the first one had. As in it drops the documentary. So many options that the story could have done and make it more worthy to stay in the [REC]/Quarantine world.
