Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by Stefan K — 30 Oct 2013
Bond tries to stop a mysterious organisation from destroying all of a country's most valuable resources. After the sprightly fresh refurbishing of the Bond franchise with Casino Royale, the second film of the Daniel Craig era comes across as shallow and rather disappointing.
Not only does it lack memoable sequences, but it also lacks a lot of magnetism and even a credible villain. The action and excitement is somewhat untouched, but this is hardly a stand out addition to the 007 franchise.
