Review of Pushing Tin (1999) by Maria B — 08 Feb 2009
I liked this little film, thankfully it was fiction otherwise I don't think I would fly in an aircraft again! I have always liked John Cusack as an actor and he did not let me down here. It was interesting to see early performances of Cate Blanchett (also a favorite) and Angelina Jolie - both showing signs of their acting ability and stardom to come.
This film shows the somewhat raucous behaviour by air traffic controllers and enlightens one as to the incredible training one would have to go through to become one. Also the responsibility the job holds.
It would seem they hold the life of all of us in the palm of their hands....definitely worth seeing.
