Review of Pusher II (2004) by Paul P — 21 Jun 2010
Refn's second film in the 'Pusher' series follows Tonny, a few years after the first movie has taken place. Tonny is magnificently played by Mads Mikkelsen. He is a chronic screw up, seemingly incapable of saying or doing anything right.
And its made clear many times if it wasn't for his dad who is the boss of a car heist group, he'd be dead. Tonny knows he's a screw up and his efforts to turn things around are devastating to watch.
The ending is absolutely brilliant!
