Amazingly gritty, realistic portrayal of a small time drug pusher, Frank, who has a series of unfortunate events unfold in his life. The movie is littered with a few other memorable characters, who luckily (in the 2nd/3rd installments of Pusher) we get to see again.

I loved the character of Frank, and the ending of this movie leaves us to interpret exactly what happened to him which is one thing I was hoping they might explain in the second movie (and now that I've seen it I'm kind of glad they keep it open ended).

This movie is so real and in your face, we feel the blood pumping in Frank's veins as we watch him squirm under the pressure of leading a seedy lifestyle. The director has his own feel, which also goes to show in his other films Bronson, as well as in Valhalla Rising; with Pusher, he shows us the drugworld of Copenhagen and doesn't spare the reality.
