Review of Pusher (1996) by Paul P — 17 Dec 2011
Nicolas Winding Refn's debut film is brutal, honest and captivating for every second its on the screen. The film follows Frank's day by day routine as a dealer that is suddenly halted when bad luck doesn't stop piling up on him.
The hand held camera work(non-shaky!) adds relentless energy to this story. The entire cast wears the physical toll this lifestyle takes right on there faces. If you enjoyed 'Gomorrah' then 'Pusher' is right up your alley.
