Review of Pusher (1996) by Anatoly S — 20 Sep 2013
I've seen quite a few of the director's films, some brilliant (Drive), others style over substance (Valhalla Rising) but this is the first time I've seen his debut which is so different from his other films.
This reminded me of gritty British gangster movies or perhaps what those kind of movies should be! This was really good, slow building tension throughout and lots of unexpected twists and betrayals. I'm interested to see in what direction the trilogy goes.
