Review of Pursuit of Happyness (2005) by Alexander A — 13 Jul 2013
I have watched this movies so many times, I have lost the count, but each time I watch it, it feels I am watching it for the first time. This movie shows that nothing in life can be achieved without hard work, and hard work is always rewarded. Some of the best moments of the movie:
1. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.
2. It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that? - (One of my favorite quotes ever).
3. The scene where he lends five bucks to his boss. The expression on his face is monumental!
