After watching the heart-melting film, Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith I was completely in awe of how many different roles he is capable of mastering so well. Being a huge Will Smith fan, I was not disappointed by him in this movie. The way that he is able to change from being what seemed so normal to having a very dramatic personality made this film worth watching. I feel that nobody else would have been able to bring out the depression and all the other emotions of the character quite like Will Smith was able to. He was able to show the happiness and joy of his life being a single father. In the same sense he portrayed the struggles and hardships of single parenthood with such emotion that you felt like you were there in his life, like a friend, by his side, going through these same problems with him. If you have ever been in his situation you can definitely feel his sorrow and sadness. Will Smith makes this movie the emotional roller coaster that will make you cry, laugh then cry again.

In the movie Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith, plays the role of his son. With this role in Pursuit of Happyness being his first acting job he had an advantage of working side by side with his father. The strong bond Will and Jaden have with each other has been strongly demonstrated. By the end of the movie you finally understood and sympathize Will Smith's character.
