Review of Puppetmaster (1989) by Greg S — 27 Nov 2010

A genuine cult classic. Puppet Master does have it fair share of problems; it's not scary, even on a basic level, Puppet Master is simply not scary, the acting ranging from below average to scene-chewingly horrible (still have a better cast then almost all it's sequels).

The SFX even those are very fun to look at and interesting to think about, are just unconvincing, even as a kid watching it, it was a real suspension of my disbelief. But Puppet Master is entertaining, it's a fun movie, managing to avoid being trashy and honestly taken too seriously by most people.
