Review of Puppetmaster (1989) by Daniel S — 23 Feb 2010
This movie..this movie is just, I really don't know. A Puppet maker in the 30's used some Egyptian spell on his puppets to make them come to life, and in his hands they're good, but in the wrong hands, not so much.
Then in present day(89') we got some psychics called to the hotel where the puppet maker died, to attend the funeral so-to-speak of the man who married the daughter of the hotels former owners, and investigate.
There are only about six people though so they couldn't all die, and the deaths were very limited by this small number of people. The dialogue was pretty bad, and the acting was meh, it seems like a few of the actors really tried to hard.
The movie itself was so corny that I couldn't help but laugh. On a positive note, the puppets looked good, and delivered a few good kills upping the excitement, and letting you know that once they were on screen, someone was gonna die.
Hey, it's the 80's so whatever, Rent It.
