Review of Puppet Master 4 (1993) by Michael H — 06 Mar 2010
You know in terms of a horror movie it probably features the lowest number of deaths in the series so far but you know what in terms of actually being a a watchable film this is strangely one of the best in the series thus far...I mean there's no recurring dreams about dancing before somebody's wife get's shot, no creepy life size puppet man and even the Nazi's keep their oar out of the proceedings.
This time however the Pharaoh who invented the magic of bringing puppets to life caught the events of the last few films in is magical viewing pool and is pretty miffed that folks might soon discover his ancient secret. So his dispatches his own Egyptian doom puppets to murder all involved with the project (two via magical crystal pyramid and another two by courier.).
This turn of events sees fit to put the puppet stars of the film firmly in the frame as the goodies of the piece as they befriend Laser quest loving young genius Rick Myres.
So be ready to enjoy Puppet on Puppet battle royale action, rubber skeletal based annoyed ancient Egyptian rulers and a non puppet death toll of 3 (possibly 4 but I think that woman in the end has only fainted for a bit.).
