Review of Punisher: War Zone (2008) by Brandon D — 20 Oct 2013

The only reason this movie didn't get 5 stars: Why, oh why, did they leave his name Frank Castle and then change his story?? I understand that sometimes you can't get the original actor back to play a sequel and all, but since they kept his name the same, they should have kept his story the same as well, but everything was different.

Instead of having only a son like he did in the first movie, now all of a sudden he had an older daughter as well? And instead of being run down on a dock like in the first movie, his family was killed because they saw something they shouldn't have? WHAT? The best thing would have been to either make this a whole new character with his own story, or keep him as Frank Castle but with the original backstory from the first movie.

The only thing that saved this movie from being totally ruined for me was that Ray Stevenson was awesome in his role, and I loved the special effects.
