Review of Punisher: War Zone (2008) by Andy O — 22 Feb 2014
Following on from a fairly sublime predecessor, this film follows the punisher as he kills an undercover fbi agent by mistake, feels guilty for 5 minutes, then it's business as usual. There's not really much more to say than that, the plot is about as unoriginal as they come, most of the cast seems idiotic, the final scenes were.
..well, dull and even the ott gore didn't deliver and just felt there because it had to be. Oh, and the main antagonist started off as a regular crime boss before getting knocked by the hero into some machinery in a factory.
He survives but ends up horribly disfigured, and this inspires insanity and a name change, before engaging in a vendetta fuelled war with the hero. Hang on a minute....now where have I seen that before????? Like I said - unoriginal.
