Review of Punisher: War Zone (2008) by Ruhan R — 10 Dec 2010
I was hoping for a redemption in cinema with Punisher: War Zone, but alas, it was just another two-bit vigilante movie. It provided a good adaptation of the character in terms of design. The lines and mannerisms of Frank Castle seemed on par, but Stevenson's acting just wasn't.
The dark, gritty theme of the original series was not conveyed properly. Even if I look at this film separately from the comics and just as a film, it still sucked. Real cheesy plot, the crime family was plain and stereotypical.
Jigsaw seemed like a shoddy imitation of Joker from Batman. Not a hit for Lexi Alexander at all.
