Review of Puncture (2011) by Aidan H — 03 May 2012
Poorly-structured legal drama which replaces investigative thrills and court room jousting with endless scenes of tattooed hunk Evans doing drugs in his wifebeater (think less Erin Brockovich and more Basketball Diaries).
The plot - little lawyers vs. Big Pharma - finally kicks into gear far too late in the proceedings and its perfunctory and unexplained finale left me with mouth agape (but in a bad way). Billed as 'based on real events', Puncture doesn't carry the weight of reality nor make use of the true drama it claims to depict.
Nice to look at though, hence the stars.
