Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Jill R — 02 Feb 2015
Adam Sandler's performance is absolutely spot on, and Emily Watson is dlightful. However Barry Egan alternates a little too quickly between being a passive doormat and a psychotic vandal that it becomes a little too difficult to root for him towards the end.
The movie itself is quirky and weird pretty much all the time, but does have a few memorable moments. All in all, a decent movie which I feel might be appreciated more by socially awkward or anxiety prone people than a general audience.
