(2002) Punch Drunk Love.

DRAMA.

A character study film and life story of Barry Egan, exceptionally played by Adam Sandler who has some anger issues, lies on occasion whenever it involves humilation or an awkward sitution, who receives calls constantly during his place of employment from 1 of his 7 sisters, and pursues for more "Airmiles" points from particular food products for paying less money, and then the real movie starts as soon as he calls one of those phone sex hotlines for single people and they start harrassing him for money when at the same time, trying to maintain a relationship who he start to become very fond about with a person called Lena (Emily Watson)!

Kind of a plotless film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson best known for movies, such as "Magnolia", "Boogie Nights" and "There Will Be Blood" with the film weighing over Adam Sandler's shoulders and his performance, since his portrayl is quite unusual as someone whose autistic, though the film never discloses what kind of behavior he has or why there has never been any type analysis done as young as a little toddler, which upon watching this film asks more questions than the film is capable of answering! It does show intolerance upon the Emily Watson character to an unlikely and unusual character!

2.5 out of 4.
