Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Corey B — 09 Mar 2013
A small scale film from Paul Thomas Anderson an his only romantic drama/comedy by traditional means. Making great use of Adam Sandler's comic personality in a damatic role proving he 'can' act; Punch-Drunk Love is a unusal, charming and delightful film about a lonely man who unexpectably finds love and comfronts his moral mistakes.
Its a lot more easier to understand than Magnolia with a simple plot and memorable characters. Overall Punch-Drunk Love is an unusal, charming and delightful film from such a fine film-maker whose never had a dud.
