Even 10 years after it's release, there will be many people that watch this movie and have their expectations surpassed by Sandler's surprisingly convincing performance of a mildly pathetic plunger salesman.
Sandler is an actor who, as a comedian, has made good choices and bad. To work on Punch-Drunk Love is a privilege to him, as well as the audience, to see Adam Sandler emerge from the daft comedy we've been accustomed to seeing him in.
