Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Jesse K — 13 Jul 2015
One of the most bizarre and unexpected films I've seen in a while, this was pretty much nothing like what I imagined. I usually dislike films like this due to a feeling of sloppiness or odd editing but everything here works so perfectly.
The frantic score is incredibly important, the fast pace matches the character and Adam Sandler himself is wonderful to behold (which I never thought I would say). Punch-Drunk Love is weird and I absolutely loved it.
